Wayfarer Presents the 2nd Annual Mountain Flavors Music & Food Festival

Two Days of Extraordinary Food, Live Music, and Appalachian Hospitality in Tazewell, Virginia

Some evenings stay with you.

Last November, something rare happened at The Wayfarer. Guests gathered around beautifully prepared food, listened to remarkable music, and shared an experience that felt almost suspended in time. The first Mountain Flavors Music & Food Festival carried a glow all its own, settling into our memories like a story whispered around a fire.

On November 6 and 7, 2026, Mountain Flavors returns for its second year.

This two-day celebration will once again bring together accomplished chefs, talented musicians, regional flavors, and the unmistakable hospitality of the Appalachian Mountains. Friday evening will offer an intimate five-course culinary and musical experience, while Saturday will transform The Wayfarer into a lively food, drink, and music festival.

Two days. Two completely different experiences. One unforgettable celebration of creativity, community, and mountain flavor.

Friday Night: A Five-Course Culinary and Music Experience

Friday, November 6, 2026

6:00–9:00 PM

The Wayfarer, 386 Main Street, Tazewell, Virginia

Tickets: $150 per guest

Friday evening is designed to be intimate, elegant, and quietly enchanting.

Guests will step into an atmosphere where fine dining and world-class music meet against the backdrop of our Appalachian hills. Throughout the evening, a carefully prepared five-course dinner will unfold, with each course offering bold, surprising flavors crafted with imagination and intention.

This is not simply dinner accompanied by music. It is a complete experience where every dish, every note, and every detail contributes to the story of the evening.

The Mountain Flavors culinary team will bring unexpected ingredients and creative ideas to the table, introducing guests to flavors they may not expect to discover in the mountains. Each course is designed to spark curiosity, invite conversation, and celebrate the artistry behind an exceptional meal.

Our Friday night musical guests will remain a secret for just a little longer. What we can promise is that the artists joining us will bring the same sense of wonder that made last year unforgettable. It will be the kind of music that wraps around the room, making time feel slower and the evening feel sweeter.

Fine dining. World-class music. An unforgettable night.

Friday seating is extremely limited. Reserve your place for an evening destined to become another treasured Wayfarer story.

Saturday: A Whole Different Flavor

Saturday, November 7, 2026

4:00–8:00 PM

The Wayfarer, 386 Main Street, Tazewell, Virginia

Tickets: $25 per person

While Friday night surrounds guests with an intimate and elegant atmosphere, Saturday brings an entirely different kind of energy.

The Mountain Flavors Music & Food Fest becomes a bright, bold, food-loving celebration filled with great music, cold drinks, cooking demonstrations, and flavors from across the region and beyond.

Spend the afternoon wandering from one taste to the next while sampling beer, wine, and unexpected culinary creations. Every booth offers a new experience, and every glass feels like a toast to the mountains.

This is not your typical food festival.

At this fun foodie event, guests will have the rare opportunity to watch nationally recognized and regional chefs prepare dishes right in front of them. Cooking demonstrations will combine entertainment, education, personality, and plenty of chances to try something new.

Live music will fill the festival throughout the day, creating the easy, carefree rhythm that makes you want to stay a little longer.

Saturday is where you kick back, sip something cold, discover a new favorite dish, laugh with friends and strangers, and let the day unfold. It is a true celebration of food, drink, music, and community in the heart of downtown Tazewell.
