Meet Tommy Cox: A Tazewell County Hometown Blues Legend
Tommy Cox, a proud Tazewell County native, has been a staple in the blues music scene since the early 1990s. Starting his career with the blues trio Tommy C and The Blue Hounds, Cox quickly made a name for himself with his authentic sound and masterful guitar skills. Over the years, he has toured across the Southeastern U.S., captivating audiences with his electric and acoustic blues performances.
Now based in Lynchburg, Virginia, Cox continues to wow fans with his solo work and with the Tommy C Band. His latest album, Acoustic Blues, showcases his deep connection to traditional country blues styles, blending Delta and Piedmont influences with his own unique twist.
