What a Weekend in Appalachia
As the dust settles from the RT16 Rally & Music Festival, we are taking a moment to reflect on what was accomplished, and our hearts are filled with gratitude.
Compliments have poured in for the music, the atmosphere, the hospitality, and the sense of community throughout the event. Seeing people gathered together, enjoying great music, supporting local businesses, exploring our mountains, and creating memories is exactly why we do this.
This festival was never just about one weekend. It was about building something that can grow, bring people back, fill our streets, and help all of Main Street win.
Music, Motorsports, Mountains, and Main Street
The RT16 Rally & Music Festival brought together so many of the things that make this region special. Riders came for the road. Music lovers came for the performances. Families, friends, vendors, local businesses, and visitors came together to experience the energy of our town and the beauty of the surrounding mountains.
There is something powerful about seeing Main Street alive with people, music, conversation, and movement. That is the kind of momentum we believe in. That is the kind of weekend that reminds us what is possible when a community works together.
A Festival Built by Community
Events like this do not happen because of one person. They happen because dedicated teams, volunteers, businesses, sponsors, musicians, and supporters come together around a shared vision.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Back of the Dragon, Virginia, and Uncharted Adventures. We could not have asked for better partners. Their passion, professionalism, and commitment helped make this event something truly special.
Their work, energy, and belief in this region helped create an experience that people will remember long after the music ended and the motorcycles rolled out.

Most of all, we are incredibly proud of our nonprofit and the volunteers who gave their time, energy, and heart to make this weekend a success.

These are the people who make events like this possible. They show up early, stay late, solve problems, welcome guests, and help create the kind of atmosphere that makes people want to come back.

It was about showcasing the beauty, culture, and hospitality of Appalachia. It was about reminding people why this region is such a special place. It was about celebrating our mountains, our roads, our people, our small businesses, and the spirit that makes Southwest Virginia unforgettable.
From the energy of the crowd to the music in the air, from the riders on the road to the conversations happening across town, Appalachia showed up powerfully.
