JeDah Madison & Brooke Foster at Wayfarer - House Session

  • Wayfarer - Velvet Room 386 Main Street Tazewell, VA, 24651 United States (map)

JeDah Madison & Brooke Foster take the Velvet Room stage September 26 at 7 PM, bringing together two distinctly different voices for one intimate evening.

JeDah Madison comes to us from Princeton, West Virginia, with a voice rooted in jazz soulful, expressive, and made for a room where every note can be heard.

Brooke Foster brings another side of the mountains. Raised in Virginia, Brooke’s music blends Appalachian soul, dark Americana, and ethereal folk-rock — music that can feel beautiful, haunting, and a little wild around the edges. Her newest releases include “Starting To Rain” and “What The Devil Can Do,” released in 2026.

Put those two voices together and you have something we love at Wayfarer: a show that doesn’t fit neatly into one box.

Jazz meeting Appalachian soul.

West Virginia meeting Virginia.

Two women with completely different colors in their voices sharing one intimate stage.

And after a day wandering Burke’s Garden handmade crafts, mountain roads, fall air and one of the most beautiful valleys in Appalachia this feels like a pretty wonderful way to end the evening. The Burke’s Garden Fall Festival celebrates the valley’s agricultural heritage, food, crafts and mountain culture earlier that same day.

Come have dinner, settle into the Velvet Room, order a cocktail and stay awhile.

Because hearing interesting artists in a room this small is different.

You aren’t watching from across a field.

You’re close enough to hear the breath before the note, the story before the song, and two voices finding their way together in real time.
