Octoberbrewfest brings a mighty special father-daughter pairing to Wayfarer on October 3 at 7 PM.

Abigail Dillon & Gary Lee Dillon bring generations of music together for a night rooted in folk, rock, blues, Americana and pure mountain soul.

Abigail has a voice that is warm, expressive and full of feeling the kind of vocal that can quiet a room and pull you straight into a song. With guitar in hand, she moves effortlessly between heartfelt folk, soulful blues and familiar favorites, bringing her own spirit to every note.

And then there’s Gary.

For more than 45 years, Gary Lee Dillon has been singing, writing, performing and playing an incredible collection of instruments guitar, violin, pedal steel, banjo, bass, lap steel and more across the U.S. and Canada.

His musical road has crossed with some legendary company, including Hubert Sumlin, Rick Danko of The Band, members of Bob Dylan’s band, Railroad Earth, George Recile, Cesar Diaz, Tony Garnier, Andy Goessling, Jeff Sarli and The Blue Sparks from Hell.

Gary is also a recording artist and songwriter with two albums of original work, Woods and Somewhere Around E Flat, along with appearances on numerous other artists’ recordings.

But what makes this night especially good isn’t just the résumé.

It’s a father and daughter sharing the stage, bringing two generations, two musical journeys and one deep love of music together right here in the mountains.
