Dalton Lee Brings Southwest Virginia Roots to the Crossroads Saloon
On Friday, July 10, the Crossroads Saloon at Wayfarer Appalachia welcomes Dalton Lee, a Southwest Virginia-born singer-songwriter whose music carries the heart of where he came from and the ambition of where he is headed.
Dalton was born and raised in a small town in Southwest Virginia before moving to Nashville in 2021. He was excited to pursue his dream of becoming a singer-songwriter. That move came at a deeply personal time. His father, also a musician and Dalton's greatest influence, had passed away just one month before Dalton left for Music City.
For Dalton, Nashville was never only about chasing a music career. It was about honoring his father, carrying forward the influence that shaped him, and stepping into the kind of life they both understood through music.
A Southwest Virginia Story with a Nashville Sound
Since moving to Nashville, Dalton Lee has been writing, performing, and building a sound rooted in country music, personal experience, and honest storytelling. His debut single, "Change Your Mind," was released in September of 2024 and introduced listeners to an artist with a natural feel for melody, emotion, and place.
His music continues to grow with new releases and a larger vision for the road ahead. As Dalton builds momentum, his story still circles back to the mountains, small towns, and people of Southwest Virginia.
That connection makes his July 10 show at Wayfarer feel right at home.
Live in the Crossroads Saloon
The Crossroads Saloon was made for nights like this.
It is an intimate room where the lyrics matter, the stories come through, and the crowd is close enough to feel the performance. Set inside Wayfarer Appalachia on Historic Main Street in Tazewell, the Crossroads Saloon brings live music into a space shaped by good food, cold drinks, and community.
Dalton Lee's performance brings together the best parts of a songwriter night: a voice with something to say, a story rooted in this region, and a sound shaped by the road between Southwest Virginia and Nashville.
